European Blackjack

European Blackjack is probably the most common form of online blackjack and is available in almost every UK and European based online casino

The game is played with two full decks of 52 cards, and blackjack will always either win or tie. If you get blackjack, you will be paid out at 3:2. If the dealer gets blackjack however, you lose all your bets- initial and doubles. The dealer must also stand on soft 17.

Other rules include:

• You can double down on 9, 10 & 11 only.
• You can't split a pair and then double down.
• You can only spilt pairs once.
• You cannot surrender.
• Insurance is paid at the end of the hand.
• If the dealer gets blackjack, you lose all your bets- initial and doubles.
• You can take out insurance if the dealer's first card in an ace.
