Guetting Progression- Betting System

The Guetting Progression was developed by a Frenchman of the same name (Charles was his fiirst name). Although it is more complex than some of the other progressions we have feautured in this section (such as The Martingale System) it's worth 5 minutes of your time at the very least.

This is a positive progression , in that you move your betting up after a win (as opposed to a negative progression in which you increae your bets after a loss. There are various levels set into the system to try and cement in any profits if you make along the way.

The Guetting System is often played in roulette, often on the outside bets, such as red/black, but the theory holds for other table games such as craps.

The Guetting System has 4 distinct "gears" as follows

1st Gear  = 2

2nd Gear = 3 / 4/ 6

3rd Gear3  = 8 / 12 / 16

4th Gear4 = 20 / 30 / 40

The betting levels are called gears as you increase your speed or your bets on a winning streak, and put the brakes on by dropping down multiple gears when you are on a losing run.

Here's how you would bet when you are winning:

You start by betting 2 units (it's up to you how many coins equals 2 units. For simplicity's sake lets call it 2 pounds).

If you win twice in succession, go up a gear, when you get to the end of the row.

So if you were extremely lucky (ie the end case), you ould bet

The levels come into play after a loss.

Rather than coming back down the progression as you moved up, you fall back multiple levels to conserve any winnings.

If you lose on the initial bet on a level, drop a level and kick off on the first number.

BUT, if you lose on the second bet of any number, you bet the same number again. Basically you don't drop off the level, until you are at the edge of the cliff, if you understand our metaphor.

Another way of looking at it, is that you repeat your bet if you win on the 1st bet of a number and increase your bet if you win on the 2nd bet of the same number.

If you lose on the second bet, come back one position and repeat the bet again. If you lose on the 1st  position, drop a Guetting level and lock in your profits.
