Poker Pursuit. Play With a £1000 Bonus

Poker Pursuit is a variant of Video Poker. The difference is this: when you play Video Poker you bet once and play. And in Poker Pursuit you have the option to up your bet as the cards are dealt. The payout depends on your hand which is scored along standard poker hand rankings.

If you have upped your wager through the game, your payout goes up accordingly.

The casino will deal you 5 cards in total, with 3 coming in the first wave. (You must place an ante bet before you are dealt these first 3 cards). You then decide whether to place another bet (a raise) or stick at your current bet level (call) to see the 4th card. Finally, you can Raise or Call on the 5th and last card.

Payout

  1. Royal Flush 999-1
  2. Straight Flush 199-1
  3. 4 of a Kind 49-1
  4. Full House 11-1
  5. Flush 8-1
  6. Straight 5-1
  7. 3 of a Kind 3-1
  8. Two Pairs 2-1
  9. A Pair of 10's or Better 1-1

So if you are Lucky Jim and land a Royal Flush and you raised before the 4th and 5th cards you'll get paid 999-1 on 3 times your ante bet.

Remember, to win at Poker Pursuit, you'll need to land at least a pair of 10's.

Poker Pursuit Strategy

Every time you up your bet while you are playing Poker Pursuit, you are increasing the money you could win if you get a winning hand, but you are also increasing the amount you could lose if you get a dud hand of course. So it is important to know when to raise and when to call.

  • If you already have a a pair of 10's or better in your first 3 cards raise and raise again of course.
  • Never raise if you are merely fishing for pair off a hand with low cards and a ten, for example.
  • It may be worth upping your bets if you are 4 cards into a flush (all of the same suit) and certainly if you are 4 cards into a straight or a royal flush.
